Questions about Sponsoring my Spouse from USA

HI.

I am a male Canadian citizen by birth and have resided in Vancouver Canada continuously since.

I have been married for 8 years to US citizen living in Seattle in the USA and would now like to sponsor her to live here permanently.

She has not medical or criminal record issues.

Questions:

  1. can she come for the interview in say Vancouver Canada rather than the only two location specified in the US (Los Angeles and New York)?

  2. Do I as sponsor have to fill out form IMM 5406 “additional family information”?

At thre top its says that “the principal applicant, and their spouse” must each fill out a copy of this.

The “applicant” I assume is the my wife applying for permanent resident status.

Hi

  1. If there is an interview, it will be in either LA or New York, unlikely to be an interview, unless there are problems in the applications.
  2. Only your spouse completes the IMM 5406.
