Hello,

I have transferred my lease agreement from November 1st onward to a new tenant with the landlord’s permission.

Everything has been signed and approved by the landlord.

However, when I ask my landlord for a written notice to officially confirm this lease transfer, he refuses.

Over our phone conversations, he has verbally approved the lease transfer after thoroughly collecting and weeks of assessing background information from my new tenant.

I am repeatedly asking for a written email notice to confirm this lease transfer for legal purposes but he is not responding. How can I be sure that my lease transfer is legally finalized.

I am in Waterloo.
