The PR cards for myself and 2 children have been delivered, however my wife’s PR card is pending. We did receive a notification that her picture did not meet the specifications and we resubmitted, however it has been almost 20 days since then and there hasn’t been any response. Overall it has been almost 90 days since we submitted our applications together. Is there a contact number for CIC that can be reached from outside North America?
Hello,
Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.
We can appreciate that you would be concerned about this.
We have had some of our users previously state that they have been able to contact CIC from abroad by dialing 1 613 944 4000. Listen to the options to get to IRCC. Then you should be transferred to the IRCC Call Centre.
Please note though we are not sure if this number continues to work this way. We had one of our Settlement.Org Discussion Forum users post at the end of April this year, that they were able to successfully use that number.
You may want to give it a try.
Please be aware that long distance charges will apply.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.

Thank you for your help. I was able to get through on the below number, however i have been advised to keep waiting without a definite duration or time estimate. We are in the limbo as we have to travel back to Canada and shift completely after the PR cards come through. I have been told that the lead time for new applicants is currently 53 days, however they can not confirm that my wife’s PR card will be earlier than this even though the original application was submitted 120 days ago.
I wanted to know if we still do not get the PR card for my wife, should we apply for a travel document? If so, how long does it take? Some folks have also mentioned that if we travel by road via the US border (having a US visa), the PR cards are not asked for at the border. Is this accurate?
Thanks,

it is 180 days since we landed and 90 days since we resubmitted my husband photos. I have tried the lines but I was told ircc don’t receive calls from outside Canada except through mails. I have sent the mails but no reply yet. I don’t know if we should go ahead and fill the solemn declaration form and apply for prtd. We don’t seem to know the fate of my husband PR card. Pls help !!!
Hello,
Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.
From your message it sounds like you are currently located in Canada at the moment? If that is the case you should not have a problem speak with IRCC: 1-888-242-2100 IRCC Call Centre line.
We cannot provide information on how long it takes for IRCC to process information or requests they receive.

Hello,
I became permanent resident on April 2018 and left Canada after 10 days. I got photos submission request while being in home country. My question is:
