Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has experience with sponsoring a spouse and having this spouse apply for OSAP(Ontario Student Assistance Plan, which is a financial aid program for students in Ontario).
My concern is that in family sponsorship, sponsor must provide for their spouse’s financial needs over a three year term. Would a sponsored spouse be eligible for OSAP(once PR status is obtained), or does that qualify as a financial need that needs to be satisfied by the sponsor?
My spouse is currently in a university program in Germany, and there is a transfer option with UofT, but I am concerned whether she is eligible to receive Financial Aid.
