Exchanging a Driver's Licence

Hello,

I am thinking about to exchange my German driver’s licence to a licence from Ontario. I already live in Toronto for 3 years so I am not sure if I can simply exchange my driver’s licence or what else would be required to get an Ontario driver’s licence.

I hope you can help me since I only found out that you are required to exchange your licence within 60 days but back then I wasn’t even considering of staying so long that I would need a driver’s licence in Canada.

I couldn’t find anywhere what is required if licences are not exchanged within 60 days.
