Applying for OHIP as Mobile Worker

My husband will get his PR soon and we want to apply for OHIP ASAP. He’s a navagational Officer on ships out side of Canada. He’s at sea for 4 months and Home for 2 months.

Does this land him in the catagroy of a mobile worker, exempting him from the 153 days rule ? If so what kind of proof does he need ?

Letter from his company ?
