I got a question regrading re-applying for PR after voluntarily renounce PR status.
My family immigrated to Canada in 2001. Everyone except my mom got Canadian citizenship in 2009
My mom had to go back to Korea to take care of my grandparents (both were sick) in 2007 and stayed there till few month ago
Her PR card expired for many years so we thought it would be better for her to give up her PR status and enter Canada with Travel Visa
Now my grandparents are passed away and she has no reason to go back she want to re-apply for PR to stay in Canada
Will she able to get PR even after giving up her PR status in recent year(2017)?
If so, my sister who is Canadian Citizen stayed with her in Korea in past five years.
If you are in Canada, you may want to contact the IRCC Call Centre directly for some information specific to your mother’s situation.
You may also want to contact a Lawyer or a reputable, registeredImmigration Consultant who is familiar with Canadian immigration issues for some advice and assistance with this process.

Hi,
I voluntarily renounced my PR Status in 2019. I had to renounce my PR due to issues in my home country. My wife and daughter are Canadian Citizens.
However, I have resolved my issues and I wish to re-apply for PR so I can live with my family in Canada. I have a 10 year visa visit Canada.
Do I have to apply from the beginning, or is there a way I can resume my previous PR status. And complete my time period in Canada for PR from now onwards.?
Please help me to understand this process,
Thank you,
