TRV for Mother in Law - What do we Need?

I would like to inquire about applying for a TRV for my mother-in-law.

My husband and I are expecting our first child in February 2015 and would really like to have my mother in law here for support during the first few month of the baby’s birth.

I am a Canadian citizen and my husband is a permanent resident.

While I am employed full time, my husband is currently a student preparing for this Medical Council Qualification exams. Our household income is $42 000.

Do you think that it would be possible with this information to apply for a TRV for my mother-in-law.

Your guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
