TRP for Upcoming Sponsorship Application

Hi there!

My overseas born boy got visit visa (TRV) to come to Canada with PR parents. I came to know that, sponsorship application is to be submitted from Canada and will be finalized by respective visa office outside Canada. According to CIC website, it needs total 16 months to be decided for PR.

We are coming to Canada after 2 months.

My question is…

Should I apply for TRP also? (Though TRV is for 5 years and multiple entry).

If yes, why TRP is needed? Can I apply now?

Will it reduce my waiting time for PR from 16 months?

Anybody with similar condition, please suggest me, I need to reduce my waiting time for PR decision form 16 months.

I asked my local visa office but they are not responding.

What to do??

In terms of ways to reduce the processing time, unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to speed up the application processing time.
