Shall I sponsor my Maternal Aunt to Canada?

Hello,
My maternal aunt who is a widow with no children.

Can I either sponsor her to come to Canada from India or adopt her to bring into Canada ?
Please advise…

  1. Basic answer is No. One exception is if you are single, have no children, your parents/grandparents are deceased and you don’t have Brother/sister/aunt/uncle/nephew/niece is either a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
