Residents back in Canada

I was a resident of Canada and have my landed immigrant papers and moved back to Italy with my Canadian husband a number of years is there anyway to get my resident back in Canada

So from the situation you have described, each day of your husband accompanying you, a Canadian citizen, outside Canada, constitutes a day of physical presence in Canada for your permanent residence requirement. It is interesting to note that it also states,

In terms of re-entering Canada, if you do not have a valid PR card, it is likely you will have to apply for a Permanent Resident Travel Document. You can find a list of what can be submitted in the Applying for a travel document (permanent resident abroad) (IMM 5529) instruction guide.
