Question about expired PR

Hello,

I used to be a PR back in 2000, but my family and I didn’t fulfill the residency obligation and went back to home country. All I have is the landing paper and SIN card.

I was in Canada for high school and university with study permit. And now after my 4 year degree I am holding a post-grad work permit. And I have been staying and working in Canada for 2+ years during the last 5 years.

Does my time staying in Canada during the last 5 years count towards the PR requirement? (With work permit)

As I am planning to travel, when I apply for ETA, the system recognize me as a PR. But my case is a little bit complicated as I am holding visitor permits during my stay in Canada.

Thank you!!

Please note: According to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada’s website:

“The work experience you can use to apply for the Canadian Experience Class must not have been gained while studying full time on a student permit (for example, experience gained while on a co-op work term).”
