I need information on residency requirements to renew PR card. My sister who is Australian citizen, her PR card is expiring on March 2018.
She will be coming to canada with her 2 kids in June 2015 and will fulfill her residency requirement for 2 years in 5 year period. But her husband for some reason is not able to come in 2015 at all. He will be coming in mid 2016 and will permanently stay in Canada and has no intentions to return back to Australia.
So, he will not be able to fulfill his 2 year residency requirement for his PR card renewal.
How will this affect his renewal process.
Will he be able to renew his PR card
What will be his status in Canada, while his PR card is not renewed and under process
Would he be able to travel outside of Canada.
Thank your family members’situations and questions with us.
