PR card Cancellation after Divorce

Hi,

I’m Canadian citizen, and I got married in Colombia in Aug 9, 2013. My wife and I never lived together. I sponsored her and her son last year and she landed to Canada on Jan 1, 2016. She came back to Colombia on Jan 08, 2016 (7 days later). We agreed to get divorce and cancel her permanent residence.

I haven’t received yet their PR cards, I was told it could take between 4-6 months.

My question is, How can I cancel her PR status now?

Thank you,

Hi

  1. The OP can “cancel” his spouse’s Permanent Residence.
  2. If his spouse has condition 51 on her PR card, then he should inform IRCC that him and his spouse are not longer co-habitating.
  3. If she she doesn’t have condition 51 on her PR card, then he should inform IRCC if he feels that the marriage was one of convenience.
  4. He should inform IRCC in writing about the situation by using the webform and to keep a copy. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp
