You will have to apply for PR Travel Document, as you haven’t met your Residency Obligations, you will have to enunciate the Humanitarian and Compassionate grounds why your PR status should be maintained. Unless you have a very good reason why you haven’t been Canada for the past 8 years (work is not a grounds for H.& C.) your application will be refused, and you will have 60 days to appeal the decision to the Immigration Appeal Division.
Only one other options and that is if you have a US visa, you can fly to the US and try to enter Canada by non commercial means by showing your COPR. (you could also be reported at the Border) If you are able to make it to Canada, would have to remain for 2 years without leaving or applying for a PR card, until you are in compliance with your RO.
Hi, my PR had expired in March, 2016 and I have fulfilled RO( 730 days ). Also my children are Canadian born. Could I get permanent resident travel documents from India and how many days it will take? Thanks
