Applied to renew my PR Card back in March. After not receiving my card, called CRC in October and was informed that it was mailed to my home address (instead of my mailing address) in June.
The agent advised me to complete a Solemn Declaration. My question is:
Do I need to complete another application asking with the Solemn Declaration?
How long will it take to receive the replacement card?
If I qualify for urgent processing, how long will it take to receive the replacement card?
Is there any chance to pick up the replacement PR card in person from a local office?
If you are leaving Canada in less than 3 weeks, and already applied for your PR card but won’t recieve it before you leave, IRCC suggests:
It is still best that you contact the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) directly for advice specific to your case and situation and for information about processing time for urgent applications, there is no guarantee - but IRCC may be able to provide you with a better estimate. You can contact them here: 1-888-242-2100 (In Canada Only) or by web form.
We hope this information is helpful. Please follow up with us if you have any further questions.
