How long can I stay outside Canada as a PR?

Hi,
I am PR card holder.

MY question is for how long I can stay out of Canada?

Can I go for 13 months altogether or have to come back after every 6 month to maintain my PR status?

Hi

  1. To maintain your PR status you must reside in Canada for 2 years in every 5 year period, the time doesn’t have to be consecutive.

Hello,

You can also find some additional information in our Settlement.Org What are the residency requirements for permanent residents (PRs)? article.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
