Expired PR card but have my Record of Landing

Hello,

I have sent my pr card for renewal and will not get it in time when I plan to travel to India. I still have my original expired PR card and also have my original Record of landing documentation. (Imm. 1000 (2-86).

I am a permanent resident with a British Passport.

My question is - If I provide my expired PR card and record of landing will it be ok for me to enter back into Canada?

Second question- I need to apply for a visa to visit India- Can i still apply for my indian visa with a expired PR card and my record of landing?

Thank you so much and look forward in hearing a reply.
