Can I still use my PR card to re-enter Canada?

Hello!

My PR Card will expire on June 2016, and I just apply for a renewal last December 2015.

I have a flight goin to Philippines on March 28 2016 and returning here in Canada on May 10 2016.

Can I still re enter Canada using my PR Card that will expire on June 2016?

I live here in Canada since 2008 and I accumulated more than 730 days in the last 5 years.

The short answer to your question is “if you have applied for a new PR card, you can still travel with the old card as long as it is still valid.”

Thank you for a quick response, I can’t contact CRA they’re too busy to answaer my call that’s why I’m gonna rely on this.My PR card will expire on June 2016, I’ll be out of the country on March 2016 and returning back here in Canada on May 2016.I hope I can still re-enter Canada.

You’re very welcome, you can also contact Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) with this question. As it is up to the discretion of the border guard that you meet the requirements to enter the country.
