Applying for Citizenship - Owing Tax from 2016

Hi there,

I’ve been a permanent resident of Canada for 10 years now.

When I had saved enough to apply for citizenship the fees were increased and made it unaffordable for me at the time and until now.

Currently, I am ready to apply for citizenship, I’ve paid all my taxes except last year around $5000 due (recently received this correction by mail from a reassessment which I don’t have the money for).

Can I still apply for Citizenship or do I need to make this payment?
Thank you
