My PR card expires next June 10. So I applied for PR renewal last January. After getting new PR card, is it valid from the date of receiving or just valid from after expiration of old PR card? Also, can I travel abroad with old PR card while new PR renewal application being processed?

Regarding your old PR card, according to the IRCC Call Centre representatives, they stated that it is possible to continue to use the old PR card while you wait for the new one.
