# Can I take English classes in Gatineau?

Hi,

I’m permanent resident and I live in Gatineau.

I would like to know if I can have access to the English course?

Hello There,

Thanks for sharing your situation with us. I understand that this can be confusing finding the right language classes.

You may wish to use this tool from [Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)](http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/newcomers/map/services.asp) to help locate classes in your area.

There is also a program called LINC and they offer home study classes. You can learn more about this in the [Can I take LINC classes at home?](http://settlement.org/sys/faqs_detail.asp?k=ESL_LINC&faq_id=4001180) article.

We also have the [ESL corner](http://eslcorner.settlement.org/) which has language exercises that you can do for free.

You can always **call 211 for free** and ask to speak to someone for help if you find these resources don’t meet your needs.
